It’s common for drama and controversy to follow newfound fame, and that’s exactly what’s happened to Victor Wembanyama. The San Antonio Spurs rookie recently recounted a tense situation that occurred in Vegas while he was preparing for the NBA Summer League. He revealed that while walking with security to a restaurant, someone grabbed him from behind. Wembanyama didn’t see who it was, but his security pushed the person away. It later turned out to be teen pop sensation Britney Spears. However, Spears is alleging that a member of Wembanya’s security team used excessive force in pushing her away and has filed a police report accusing Damian Smith, the Director of Team Security for the Spurs, of battery. Spears has taken to social media to share her side of the story and demand a public apology from Wembanyama, his security, and the organization.
