Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion have dropped their highly-anticipated collaboration “WAP” and fans are loving it. The accompanying music video is loaded with big names like Kylie Jenner, Rosalía, and Normani making appearances.
The music video features Cardi and Megan confidently walking through the psychedelic corridors of a hotel adorned with water fountains shaped like breasts, and even shows wild animals roaming around. During an interview with New Music Daily on Apple Music, Cardi B explained that her intention was to showcase a diverse group of women in the video, including models and influencers, not just female rappers.
The music video features Rubi Rose, Sukihana, and Mulatto, in addition to Cardi B. These rappers are personally selected by Cardi B because she likes their music and believes they will become mainstream in the future. “WAP” is Cardi B’s latest song as a lead artist. Her previous release was “Press” in 2019, excluding “Coronavirus”. For Megan Thee Stallion, this single marks her first new music since she got injured in a shooting last month.
