Fresh photos of Wonder Woman show the heroine played by Gal Gadot armed and ready for battle… on a street in the early 20th century! As you probably know by now, Wonder Woman is going to be a period film. The plot will place the warrior played by Gal Gadot in the early 20th century, possibly during World War I. This, of course, will be groundbreaking compared to established norms, presenting a warrior Amazon clashing with the stuffy and “civilized” Western society of 1910-1920.

These photos from the DC Comics heroine’s film shoot reveal Diana (Gal Gadot) and Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) encountering an unknown elderly woman on the streets of a city. Needless to say, the Amazon does not go out on the streets without her weapons, which we will also see in Batman v Superman, and this, of course, is an unprecedented event for the strict society of the time.
Patty Jenkins directs the upcoming film “Wonder Woman”, with Jason Fuchs providing the screenplay. The star-studded cast includes Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Robin Wright, Danny Huston, Säid Taghmaoui, David Thewlis, Elena Anaya, Ewen Bremner, and Lucy Davis. Fans are eagerly anticipating its release in 2017.
