Gal Gadot, the renowned actress who played the title character in “Wonder Woman,” unexpectedly won the Miss Israel pageant and was subsequently sent to compete in the Miss Universe pageant. However, she deliberately attempted to lose points during the competition. In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, she recounted her experience with fondness, stating that one of the judges, Paula Abdul, questioned her and she responded in a heavily accented manner, claiming that she did not know English. She did everything within her power to ensure that she did not win the crown.
Gal Gadot, the Israeli actress known for portraying Wonder Woman in movies, had participated in the Miss Universe 2004 competition held in the United States. However, during a 2016 interview with Jimmy Kimmel, she revealed that being a beauty queen was not her calling and explained that she did not see herself as “that type of woman.” When asked about her decision to compete in the Miss Israel pageant at the age of 18, the 1.78m tall actress shared that she registered because she wanted to be able to tell her future children and grandchildren about her experience. Despite having a gorgeous face and a tempting figure, Gal Gadot lacked confidence in her own beauty. In a nostalgic Instagram post, she shared a photo of herself being crowned as Miss Israel and expressed her surprise and confusion over why she was chosen on that particular night.

Gadot was determined to improve her craft, so she went back to school to study acting. She later returned to Hollywood, where she landed a part in Fast and Furious 5. Her military experience proved to be valuable in action films, which she enjoys.
